Position Overview:
The Human Systems Integration (HSI) Engineer II plays a key role in integrating human considerations into the engineering and development of NAVWAR systems. This position involves conducting comprehensive assessments of requirements, concepts, and resources across multiple domains, ensuring that human factors are effectively incorporated into system designs.


Compensation:
Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $69,000 to $115,000, commensurate with your experience, education, certifications, and skill set. This reflects a strong commitment to attracting top-tier talent for this pivotal role.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and modify artifacts supporting architectures, specifications, and standards.
  • Provide support for all aspects of systems engineering activities, including the development and review of acquisition engineering documentation.
  • Review acquisition engineering documentation for programs in Research, Technology, and Engineering (RT&E).
  • Contribute to the development of Systems Integration requirements and plans.

Qualifications:
  • Education: ABET-accredited BS in an engineering discipline, physical science, or mathematics.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant Human Systems Integration (HSI) engineering experience.
  • Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience in HSI design, installation, integration, and test support.
  • Multi-domain HSI engineering analysis, impact assessments, and tradeoff studies.
  • Development of design documentation/specifications.
  • HSI-related engineering requirements, performance and risk analysis.
  • HSI test planning, test procedures development, test conduct, analysis, and reporting.
  • Understanding of Naval operations from unit through operational staff and HQ levels.
  • Conducting mission task analysis, top-down functional analysis, and critical task analysis.
  • Familiarity with researching and analyzing missions, tactics, equipment, interfaces, and resource allocation in new and developing systems.
  • Knowledge of certification functions related to the NAVWAR Information Assurance Technical Authority mission, including Risk Management Framework (RMF), Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR), cyber risk to mission, and cybersecurity readiness.

Common Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS).
  • Familiarity with software tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar for modeling and simulation.
  • Experience with user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., R, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of system engineering processes and methodologies, such as V-Model and Agile frameworks.
  • Familiarity with human-computer interaction (HCI) principles.
  • Experience with test and evaluation (T&E) methodologies for HSI-related systems.
