Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate treatment programs for Health Plan members with acute or chronic mental illnesses.
- Conduct outpatient psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Administer specialized therapeutic procedures and provide support to patients and their families.
- Conduct psychological assessments, including test administration, interpretation, and providing recommendations.
- Prepare intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries while maintaining confidential records.
- Collaborate with physicians to screen and evaluate patients for psychotropic medications, within the scope of practice.
- Provide clinical supervision to psychology doctoral interns, postdoctoral residents, and other mental health trainees, as needed.
- May supervise Post Masters Fellows, Associate Clinical Social Workers, Associate Marriage Family Therapists, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselors, if qualified.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental programs.
- Utilize public and private agencies and community resources to meet members' treatment needs.
- Report safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies.
Qualifications:
- PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited college or university.
- Psychologist License (California) required within 6 months of hire.
- National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- Familiarity with DSM-V for diagnosis.
- Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices, psychotherapy research methods, and bio-psycho-social functions related to mental health.
- Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with psychological evaluations of adults, children, adolescents, and families, including psychological testing and assessments.
- Several years of experience with eating disorders is highly desirable.
- Professional maturity, ethical integrity, and a commitment to quality service, teamwork, and collaboration in a multidisciplinary clinic.
