Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $150,000 to $160,000, based on the candidate's experience, education, certifications, and skill set. This reflects a strong commitment to attracting top-tier talent for this critical position.

Responsibilities:
This Project Manager position offers a unique opportunity for experienced professionals to significantly impact the water and wastewater engineering landscape in South Carolina. With a focus on strategic leadership, client relations, and technical excellence, this role is well-suited for candidates looking to advance their careers while contributing to meaningful projects.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies aligned with the region’s goals to expand services in South Carolina. This will involve refining annual business plans and actively participating in business development efforts.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain high-value relationships with clients, acting as a Client Representative for major accounts. Understanding client needs and expectations is paramount to success in this role.
  • Team Supervision: Lead and manage a diverse team of engineers and technical support staff, ensuring project goals are met while promoting a culture of exceptional client service and effective communication.
  • Technical Oversight: Direct complex studies and investigations, ensuring high-quality service delivery within budget and schedule constraints. This includes evaluating project resources and making informed decisions to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 15+ years of experience in water/wastewater conveyance systems engineering, with a preference for additional treatment experience.
  • Professional Engineer Registration in South Carolina.
  • Proven skills in client development and relationship management within a larger engineering context.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Strong understanding of water and wastewater engineering principles, design standards, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic modeling software (e.g., WaterCAD, EPANET).
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical data and reports.
  • Experience with budgeting and cost estimation for engineering projects.

Desired Certifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
  • American Water Works Association (AWWA) or Water Environment Federation (WEF) certifications.
