NASC GLOBAL, a leading HR consulting and management firm, is conducting a confidential search for our esteemed client for an onsite Tax Manager/Senior Manager - Construction located in  Tustin, CA.

Compensation: The salary compensation for this role is $150,000 – $160,000, contingent on work experience, certifications, education, etc.

Position Overview: This position focuses primarily on construction clients, presenting significant opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the organization. 

In this role, you will work closely with staff to guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of tax return submissions, while also taking an active role in mentoring and skill development. Your efforts will contribute significantly to enhancing client relationships and expanding our firm's clientele.


Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of individual and business tax returns.
  • Reviewing, approving, and signing tax returns prior to their release to clients.
  • Providing coaching and mentorship to enhance team members’ skills and support their career development.
  • Collecting relevant tax-related information from clients to ensure precise tax return preparation.
  • Analyzing tax situations from multiple perspectives to maximize tax benefits.
  • Networking and building relationships to attract new clients and business opportunities for the firm.
  • Billing clients for the services and guidance provided.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting: A foundational degree is essential, equipping you with the necessary knowledge to navigate complex tax regulations and practices effectively.
  • CPA or EA License: Holding an active Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent license is critical, demonstrating your commitment to professional standards and continuous learning in the field of taxation.
  • Experience in Construction Industry: Significant experience working within the construction sector is required, as this role demands a nuanced understanding of industry-specific tax regulations and challenges. We will also consider candidates with experience in the manufacturing sector, reflecting a versatility that can benefit our diverse client base.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in Manufacturing: Familiarity with manufacturing tax regulations and incentives is advantageous, as it provides a broader perspective on industry practices and compliance requirements. 
  • Previous Public Accounting Experience: A background in public accounting is highly valued, as it equips you with essential skills in tax compliance, planning, and client management. 
  • Prior Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience in a leadership role is a significant asset, as it reflects your capability to guide teams effectively, manage projects, and foster a collaborative work environment. 
  • Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are crucial for articulating complex tax concepts to clients and team members alike. 
  • Analytical and Strategic Thinking: A keen analytical mindset is important for identifying tax opportunities and risks.
