Key Responsibilities:
- Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on facility equipment and utility systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in the plant.
- Follow company safety, food safety, attendance, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies.
- Conduct lubrication, conveyor belt repairs, motor, and gearbox replacements, and maintain power industrial trucks.
- Complete daily logs and communicate issues effectively, ensuring plant efficiencies are maximized while maintaining product quality.
- Assist with maintaining accurate mechanical inventory and parts change-outs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of mechanic work experience or completion of an industrial maintenance training program.
- Electrical experience is mandatory.
- Must be able to work in a cold, wet, and humid environment (35 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Ability to work overtime and/or weekends when required.
- Able to lift/move up to 45 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and use hands/fingers for extended periods (67-100% of the time).
- Must be able to push/pull up to 300 lbs and ascend/descend stairs frequently.
- Able to bend, squat, and kneel as needed.
- Willingness to perform all physical tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
