Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement departmental goals and standards that align with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical guidelines.
- Oversee patient care delivery, ensuring quality service, effective integration of information technologies, and management of patient complaints to meet performance objectives.
- Manage all aspects of departmental operations, including recruitment, orientation, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and ongoing staff education.
- Monitor departmental budgets to ensure operations are maintained within allocated funding.
- Coordinate and lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Cultivate a professional growth environment and integrate evidence-based practices into clinical protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Kentucky.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Successful completion of Level One in the Clinical Ladder Program annually for full-time and part-time employees.
- Strong critical thinking abilities, decisive judgment, and capability to work independently.
- Ability to thrive in a high-stress environment and respond effectively to challenging situations.
Desired Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and patient care management software.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and reporting software.
Desired Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
