NASC Global, a leading HR Consulting and Management firm, is thrilled to partner with our valued client to identify for a talented Staff Electrical Engineer to work onsite in Davenport, IA.

Overview: This role is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency, output, and quality, aligning electrical engineering services with the company’s business goals. You will be instrumental in ensuring the safe integration of electrical systems within manufacturing processes and facilitating upgrades to existing equipment.


Compensation and Benefits: Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, tailored to your experience, education, certifications, and skill set. This reflects their strong dedication to attracting and retaining top-tier talent for this essential position.


Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Lead all phases of electrical engineering projects, from initial concept and scope development to project closure. This includes writing specifications, soliciting bids, designing, manufacturing, and commissioning equipment.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Engage with a multidisciplinary technical team, maintenance staff, and production personnel to identify and resolve complex issues effectively.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize PI Vision and Data Link to analyze process data, providing insights and solutions to process-related challenges.
  • Electrical Control Solutions: Design and implement innovative electrical control systems that drive process improvements and enhance equipment reliability.
  • Technical Support: Provide assistance to production and maintenance teams in troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
  • Controls Redesign: Lead projects focused on PLC/HMI redesign and upgrades to optimize existing processes.
  • System Installation: Oversee the installation and troubleshooting of camera systems on industrial equipment as needed.
  • Mentorship: Offer guidance and mentorship to team members, helping to elevate their understanding of equipment and processes.
  • Flexible Support: Although this position primarily operates during day shifts, off-hours support may be necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience as an electrical engineer.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective collaboration.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience with PLC/HMI and control systems.

Desired Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI design.
  • Strong understanding of electrical control systems.
  • Experience with industrial data acquisition systems, particularly PI Vision and Data Link.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and install industrial camera systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices.

Desired Certifications:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Certified Automation Professional (CAP)
  • Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST)
  • Electrical Safety Compliance Certification
