Responsibilities:
- Evaluate each patient’s condition, develop a comprehensive treatment plan, and help them improve day by day.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals.
- Communicate patient progress, challenges, and necessary modifications to treatment plans to supervisors and other healthcare team members, ensuring cohesive care delivery.
- Assist with patient scheduling and manage daily documentation of patient charges, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Instruct nursing staff and patients’ families on follow-through programs that build on the progress made during therapy, promoting recovery and independence.
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, including regular inspection and maintenance of rehabilitation equipment and facilities.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and in-service training sessions, contributing insights and best practices to enhance overall team effectiveness.
- Conduct presentations and workshops to support marketing efforts and community outreach initiatives, promoting the benefits of rehabilitation services.
- Adhere to the company's Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and uphold professional standards and applicable state and federal laws.
- Stay current with industry trends, continuing education, and advancements in physical therapy practices to provide the highest quality care.
Qualifications:
- Active Iowa Physical Therapy License.
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- A minimum of one year of physical therapy experience is preferred.
- Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Desired Technical Software Skills:
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Familiarity with rehabilitation management software (e.g., WebPT, KX).
- Experience with documentation and reporting tools.
- Basic understanding of telehealth platforms.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
