Position Overview:
As a Business Strategy Consultant intern (Research & Development Partnerships) at NASC GLOBAL, you will work closely with our Toronto and USA based team to support our expansion efforts in the Canadian market.
You will assist in researching and developing partnerships, providing valuable insights to our US-based team, and contributing to strategic business growth in the region.
This is a unique opportunity to engage in high-level research, strategic planning, and international business development in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will collaborate with our experienced team of Team Leads, Business Solutions Consultants and dedicated Analytics team to provide research behind building and expanding business operations through innovative partnerships and market research.
Location: Hybrid (Toronto, ON)
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Duration: 1 month (November 25, 2024 to December 20, 2024)
Compensation: Paid internship.
Eligibility: Open to current students and recent graduates (up to 12 months post-graduation)

Key Responsibilities:
Research & Development Partnerships (4 days/week):
- Assist in identifying potential business partners, market opportunities, and trends within the Toronto and broader Canadian market.
- Conduct in-depth research on local industry needs, competitor analysis, and economic trends to support business development strategies.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new partnerships and expand our network within Canada, particularly in industries such as healthcare, finance, and technology.
- Help develop strategic recommendations based on market research and data analysis, which will be presented to senior leadership and clients.
Client Strategy & Support (1 day/week):
- Provide strategic support to US-based teams by conducting research and analysis that helps align business solutions with client needs.
- Work closely with internal teams to contribute to sales presentations, client meetings, and proposals for prospective clients in both the Canadian and US markets.
- Shadow Business Consultants to learn best practices in client relationship management, including project scoping, needs assessments, and service delivery.
Ongoing Learning & Development:
- Participate in weekly 1-on-1 mentorship sessions with senior consultants and team leaders to receive feedback on your progress, enhance your skills, and discuss career growth opportunities.
- Present research findings and strategic recommendations during team meetings, contributing to the development of client solutions and company strategies.
- Take ownership of specific projects and initiatives, ensuring deliverables are met and offering new insights to improve existing processes.
Training & Support:
- You will receive comprehensive training on NASC GLOBAL’s business operations, client management strategies, and partnership development methods.

Our Ideal Intern Profile:
- Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution or a recent graduate (within the last 12 months).
- A strong interest in business strategy, analytics, market research, HR, or consulting.
- Basic knowledge of business concepts, research techniques, and strategic planning is preferred.
- Ability to synthesize data and make actionable recommendations based on findings.
- Comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Bilingual proficiency in French or Spanish is a plus.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
