Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage design teams of 5-10 members, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Efficiently allocate and manage company resources to maximize project efficiency.
- Oversee the development of structural designs, ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence to client specifications.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct site visits to inspect construction progress, assess structural integrity, and ensure compliance with design plans.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members.
- Utilize problem-solving and analytical skills to address challenges and improve design processes.
- Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, calculations, and specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within consulting engineering.
- Proven experience in managing design teams and leading projects to successful completion.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Creative and detail-oriented, with the ability to develop innovative design solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
- Physically capable of visiting construction sites and clients’ facilities.
