Overview: Our client is dedicated to attracting top-tier talent and offers a competitive compensation package, with salaries ranging from $184,000 to $208,000, based on your experience, education, certifications, and skills.


Responsibilities:
  • In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of the law office, providing leadership and mentorship to both attorneys and support staff. Your ability to develop and enforce office policies and procedures will be essential in maintaining operational efficiency.
  • You will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, proactively addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction. Your expertise will be critical in managing high-profile and complex legal matters, which you will handle personally to ensure the highest standards of service.
  • Regular strategy sessions with clients will be a key part of your responsibilities, allowing you to align on goals and expectations. You will represent clients in various legal settings, including court hearings, trials, conferences, and mediation sessions, providing expert legal advice tailored to each individual case.
  • As you manage a diverse caseload of family law cases, you will develop and implement strategic approaches to each case from inception to resolution. This includes reviewing and refining legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and agreements. Collaboration with other attorneys and support staff will be crucial, as you will conduct regular meetings to review client matters and ensure that all aspects of the cases are addressed.
  • Additionally, you will oversee the financial reporting for the law office, managing billing processes and collections to ensure the firm's fiscal health.


Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) Degree: Must possess a JD from an accredited law school.
  • Bar Admission: Must be a member in good standing with the Maryland state bar.
  • Legal Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in family law, covering divorce, custody, alimony, and child support.
  • Management Experience: Proven experience in leading a legal team, including supervision of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Case Management: Demonstrated success in managing a high-volume caseload and complex family law cases.
  • Courtroom Experience: Extensive background in litigation, including trials, hearings, and negotiations.

  • Continuing Education: A commitment to ongoing legal education and staying abreast of family law developments.
  • Professional Affiliations: Active membership in relevant professional organizations, such as local or state bar associations.
  • Community Involvement: Engagement in community service or pro bono work, reflecting a dedication to giving back.

  • Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Familiarity with case management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase).
  • Knowledge of document management systems and e-filing processes.
  • Understanding of billing and accounting software for law firms.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Competence in using communication and collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
