NASC GLOBAL is pleased to partner with our well-regarded client in the search for a skilled Structural Forensic Engineer. 

Overview: Our client needs a licensed Structural/Civil Engineer with a solid construction background to perform forensic investigations across a range of building types, including commercial, institutional, high-rise, and residential structures. This hybrid position allows for remote work, office collaboration, or a combination of both.

In this role, you will engage in critical engineering assignments, such as diagnosing the causes of structural failures, identifying construction defects, and assessing issues like water/moisture intrusion, roof damage, and foundation settlement.

This role offers the flexibility to work in our client various locations, including:
  • Fayetteville or Little Rock, Arkansas
  • Tulsa or Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
  • Joplin or Springfield, Missouri
  • Memphis, Tennessee

Compensation and Benefits: Our client recognizes the value of your expertise and offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $100,000 to $140,000, based on your experience, education, certifications, and skills. This commitment underscores their focus on attracting and retaining top talent for this essential position.


Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and identify the causes of structural failures and construction defects.
  • Conduct field inspections to document site conditions.
  • Evaluate roof damage for both residential and commercial properties.
  • Assess moisture and water intrusion damage.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive oral and written reports in a timely manner.
  • Provide expert witness testimony as required.
  • Balance fieldwork and office responsibilities, approximately 50/50.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an accredited institution is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in forensic engineering, is required.
  • A valid P.E. license in the state of application is required; additional licenses in other states are preferred.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Strong knowledge of building materials, residential and commercial construction practices, and relevant building codes.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, including occasional overnight stays, is required.

  • Certified Forensic Engineer (CFE)
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
  • NCEES certification
  • LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
  • ASCE Membership or similar professional affiliations
