Position Overview:
The FSQA Manager will lead the Food Safety and Quality Assurance department, ensuring compliance with food safety programs, specifications, and product quality standards within the assigned plant.

This role oversees daily operations, regulatory adherence, and special projects, and is responsible for department budgeting, staffing, and safety.


Compensation:
Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $85,000 to $95,000, commensurate with your experience, education, certifications, and skill set. This reflects a strong commitment to attracting top-tier talent for this pivotal role.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily management of production practices, including raw material handling, sanitation, and food safety systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Client FSQA policies and government regulations.
  • Develop and maintain HACCP and SSOP-based inspection programs.
  • Confirm finished products meet customer and label specifications.
  • Report product quality and audit findings to plant and corporate management.
  • Interface with customers for product demonstrations, plant tours, and quality audits.
  • Conduct research, sanitation training, and quality-related investigations.
  • Supervise FSQA team members, including selection, training, and development of FSQA Supervisors and Technicians.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years in a food manufacturing leadership role, including at least 2 years in FSQA supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP, and SSOP regulations.

Desired Skills:
  • HACCP certification.
  • Hands-on FSQA management experience, ideally in a prepared foods plant.
  • Advanced computer skills and SAP experience.
