Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and train supervisors in all production functions to align teams with production goals and standards.
- Manage documentation, monitor yields, track attendance, and address disciplinary matters.
- Motivate team members and manage turnover and absenteeism while fostering a supportive work environment.
- Promote and enforce safety standards, quality control measures, workers' compensation, and team morale.
- Oversee production schedules, product rotation, and critical control point (CCP) verification schedules.
- Conduct audits and inspections on the production floor to uphold quality standards.
- Actively engage in safety committee activities to cultivate a culture of safety throughout the facility.
Required Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities with a talent for team motivation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for engaging with all levels of management.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a meat processing plant (preferably pork).
- Familiarity with processing floor operations and HACCP principles, including CCP monitoring verification experience preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to access all areas of the production floor, including ladders and stairs, and work in temperatures ranging from 28-45 degrees.
- Special Skills: Knowledge of fresh meat processing is advantageous; HACCP certification preferred.
Additional Details:
- Travel: Occasional travel as needed.
- Reports to: Direct management of all production operations and supervisory staff, responsible for reviewing and enhancing team performance.
- Compensation: Includes variable compensation through ASR and AIP, along with equity in the role.
- Relocation: Regional relocation assistance available.
- Schedule: Fixed B-Shift hours with no flexibility.
